Edward D. Wood, Jr. was heavily involved in the production of silent 8mm porn loops in the early 1970s. The subtitles for dozens of these films possess hallmarks of Ed's writing, and there is a general consensus that Eddie was involved in a director-like capacity on many of them as well. He even shows up as an actor in the fabled "jailer" short—shirtless, paunchy, and wearing a sombrero.
I've transcribed the subtitles to many such loops previously, including several entries from the Pussycat Films series. Like the far better known Swedish Erotica franchise, this was one of the earliest subtitled porn loop series, and the individual films share a variety of connections even beyond the subtitles.
This week's specimen is loop #6 in the Pussycat Films series, "Debutante Lust." The film is rife with tell-tale tropes. The transcribed subtitles this time do a good job of describing the onscreen action, so I'll largely spare you the blow-by-blow and let you use your imagination. Rest assured, exactly what you think is happening is what's happening.

The title card appears over the opening shot of a young woman exiting an apartment building. An attendant opens and holds the door for her as she gets into the car.
Woman: THANK YOU.Woman: SAY, YOU'RE HANDSOME.Woman: HOW ABOUT A DRINK SOMETIME?Man: A DRINK...AND WHAT ELSE?Woman: WELL, MY HUSBAND ISN'T GIVING ME ANY.Man: YOU POOR KID....Woman: I'LL BE SEEING YOU.Man: I HOPE SO, MRS. JONES.
We fade out, and then back up to an interior medium shot. We are now on a familiar set at Hal Guthu's studio on Santa Monica Blvd, home to hundreds of loops. A plethora of instantly recognizable set decorations appear in this opening shot: a heavily brocaded fabric wall hanging, an armoire, a yellow foot stool, a barrel-shaped lamp, a thick hardcover dictionary, etc.
Our leading lady, actress Maggie Williams, enters the room and dials a black corded rotary phone. This phone was another familiar prop that often served, as it does here, to effect an immediate hook-up with a veritable stranger.
Man (answering a pay phone): HELLO!Woman: THIS IS MRS. JONES. CAN YOU COME OVER?Woman: GOOD...HURRY.
The man arrives, and they sit down on the couch. Maggie Williams had starred with this same gentleman, Lt. Marx, in Armed Servicers (1974) and Inside of Me (1975). He also appeared in The Landlord (1973). (Thanks to Charles Devlin for the cast IDs.)

We are pretty much exactly halfway through the loop when the preliminaries finally end and she begins to perform oral sex on the man.

We are now nearly three-fourths of the way in when the intercourse begins.
Woman: IT FITS SO PERFECTLY IN MY CUNT.Woman: OH, FUCK ME HARD.

During this loop, we get a glimpse of one of the Chinese Guardian Lions that appear in so many of the adult movies of this era. As we often see in related loops, the camera languorously pans across the woman's legs, showing off her black stockings and garter.
One familiar edit—characters moving into and away from the camera—is repurposed here as our lovers kiss for the first time. The performers open their mouths wide and push into the camera until the blackness of the inside of their mouths fully absorbs the screen. We also get extreme close-ups as they speak to one another. They are clearly delivering dialogue, even if we don't get to hear any of it. The woman is the sexual instigator, also a familiar occurrence in these loops. Her place seems like a pretty modest apartment for a debutante, though.
All of that will certainly lend to a sense of déjà vu for anyone who has seen a number of these loops. For the record, the subtitles here are a bit more verbose than usual, and are evenly spaced throughout the entire loop. We get 35 lines and 162 words, for an average of 4.6 words per line.
While we may know for sure how or even if Ed Wood was in any way involved, I'll vote yes to him having written the subtitles. What do you think?
