Edward D. Wood, Jr. would have been 90 years old as of October 10, 2014. |
The image above is an advertisement from O/R Books, publishers of Blood Splatters Quickly: The Collected Stories of Edward D. Wood, Jr., a new book which helpfully compiles several of the short stories Eddie wrote in the 1960s and 1970s. Blood may splatter quickly, but your humble blogger reads slowly. A review of Blood Splatters Quickly is forthcoming. I only ask for your patience. In addition, there are still some freshly reissued Wood films on DVD which I have not yet reviewed on this blog, including The Young Marrieds and Shot on Location. Those, too, are coming soon to Dead 2 Rights, as is some 20th anniversary coverage of Tim Burton's Ed Wood. Before any of these things appear, however, I will probably do an article which spotlights Tor Johnson and Vampira and will take the form of a dual book review. Also in the offing: a roundup of various Wood documentaries from the '90s.
Til then, my friends....
